Jake Webb focuses his practice in a variety of intellectual property areas, including both patent and trademark litigation and patent prosecution.

Jake’s litigation experience includes patent, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property disputes. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants through all phases intellectual property matters, including pre-trial investigation, discovery, motion practice, and pre-trial efforts. He has represented clients in disputes involving consumer and retail products, industrial equipment, apparel, sporting goods, outdoor products, and children’s educational materials.

Jake also represents clients in patent prosecution matters. His experience includes the preparation and prosecution of patents in the mechanical arts and other fields, including computer software, industrial equipment, athletic equipment and business methods.

Jake earned his Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University Law School, where he was a member and associate editor for the Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. He authored the published article, The Aftermath of Louis Vuitton: Why Bringing a Trademark Infringement Case in the ITC is a Viable Option, 13 Nw. J. Tech. & Intell. Prop. 385 (2015). Jake earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, cum laude, and his M.B.A. degree from the University of Kentucky in 2012.

Jake is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent attorney.
