Lisa enjoys diversifying her practice and assisting with patent prosecution and litigation, as well as trademark matters. Her technical background and prior work experience allow her to effectively handle client needs.

Lisa is a recent graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law and was granted a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Chicago-Kent’s highly-regarded Intellectual Property Law Program. In law school, Lisa served as an executive article editor of the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property, as well as a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society. In her second year, Lisa was given a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in copyright law. Her IP-focused legal education gives her the knowledge and academic underpinnings to assist with a variety of intellectual property matters.

During law school, Lisa worked as a law clerk at a boutique intellectual property firm specializing in the life science industry before clerking at Banner Witcoff. Lisa’s prior legal work experience exposed her to a variety of clients and allowed her to hone legal skills, including: conducting patent landscape searches, analyzing office actions and drafting responses, completing document reviews in preparation for production, performing detailed legal research, and drafting routine motions.

With a background in molecular and cellular biology, Lisa has experience with a range of industries and technologies including university research institutes, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Prior to law school, Lisa worked as a laboratory assistant in the neonatology research department at a major university healthcare system. This experience adds to her understanding of research methodologies, as well as the scientific, inventive process.

Lisa appeared for the July 2019 Illinois Bar Exam.
