Daniel (Dongil) Moon focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of both domestic and foreign patent applications. He has both legal and industry experience in a variety of technologies, including telecommunications, semi-conductor devices, display devices, and computer software. He also has experience in standards essential patents in a variety of technologies, including 3GPP mobile telecommunications standards and video coding standards.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Moon worked in the legal industry as a patent agent/technical specialist at a U.S. law firm. Prior to beginning his U.S. patent practice, he was a Korean patent attorney and worked on patent prosecution, litigation, patent map projects, and licensing negotiation at a Korean law firm. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Moon was an information technology officer in Republic of Korea Air Force.
Mr. Moon earned a B.S. in electrical engineering with a minor in business administration from Seoul National University, and a Master of Science degree in management from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor at the George Washington University Law School.
